Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. She was the first American female gymnast in history to have won four gold medals at only one Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she became the first female to ever win consecutive World All-around titles (2013-15). Biles lived in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan region after she and her younger sister Adria received adoption by grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone began to be interested in the sport of gymnastics at age six. The coach Aimee Borman accompanied Biles to Bannon's Gymnastix in the area, where they were taken for a field trip. Biles achieved a medal of gold in floor exercise and a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the elite level of competing in 2011. Less than two years later she took the lead in her sport. Her consistency, her vivacious personality and the level of difficulty during her four events -- vault uneven bars, floor exercise, vault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercise and floor exercise -- made her apart.
